The story -
First my JVC deck ate a tape, which I extracted. The tape had some crinkles but was re-spooled correctly.
Then I tried to use my DVX100A as a deck and it would not read the tape.
No timecode, no image, nothing. Same with my old Panasonic cheapo consumer camera. Then I try to play other tapes on those cameras. Nothing! The two cameras seem to have been broken by this tape which I had rescued from the JVC deck. They won't even record images. I tried to play back a tape on the JVC deck which I thought I had recorded some images on my DVX - nothing. The JVC deck would play back an old recorded tape.
Am I just plain screwed? Do i have to send this camera in or does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks so much!
