i'm thinking about getting a dvx100 - the stuff i have seen looks incredible but i have heard that you have to really light your scenes well (I'm from the point and click school). what kind of lighting rig is everyone using. i have to shoot a documentary in the next 3 months. also - are there any other issues i should know about before taking the plunge?

Regarding lighting, I stole this line from someone (can't remember who):

If you know how to light, it doesn't matter which format you shoot on.
If you don't know how to light, it doesn't matter which format you shoot on.

Lighting is an art, a craft, and a science all to itself. You have to study and practice to get good at it, and there are many kinds of lights and many techniques. For a beginner, a good book (like John Jackman's) and a small kit (like a Britek or Lowel) can get you started, but don't take too much of a plunge until you have developed some skills and know what you need.
