DVX 100 Bizzarre Timecode Problem

My DVX 100 has gone crazy. When I turn the camera on the timecode starts running immediately. It runs no matter if I'm in pause mode or record mode. It runs with and without a tape.

I don't have a clue what to do. Any help would be appreciated.
If I have to send it in for repair can anyone suggest the best/fastest place?
 
It sounds like your TC generator setting is set to Free Run. You need to take it off the Free Run setting and change it to the REC RUN setting. You can change it in the camera menu under Recording Setup.
