DVX 100 A squeeze mode?

Hi all,
Can anyone Please enlighted me with this new mode and all the details on what I should know to shoot with this? I have a shoot this weekend and they want to shoot squeeze mode but say you can view it not squeezed in the LCD anyone know how to do that if possible? I dont have the "A" so I cant check.

You cannot view it unsqueezed on the camera. You'd need an external 16x9 monitor if you want to view it unsqueezed.

"squeeze mode" is basically the same type of in-camera 16x9 as offered on the PD150 and XL1 cameras. The footage will be cropped & stretched to a 16x9 aspect ratio, suitable for playing on a 16x9 TV, but looking "squished" if viewed on a 4x3 TV.

In interlace mode (60i) the results are apparently mediocre, on par with the PD150 (which is pretty bad, actually, at 16x9). In progressive mode (24P/25P/30P) it delivers an excellent 360 lines of resolution, which is as high as you'd get from any "native" 16x9 interlaced camera. Nowhere near as high as you'd get using the anamorphic adapter, of course, but also $800 less expensive!

By the way, anyone the the NYC area have a DVX "A" I can peek at real quick? I wont even touch it if you dont want. I just want to get familiar with where the new menu items are. Will even pay a small fee.
