DVrigPro with HVX200

I already have the DVRig Pro and it's pretty cool.
I went to my local video shop and tried out the Glidecam 2000 (that's supposed to be the light one) and had a really hard time holding it for any period of time.
But for the HVX you'd need the Glidecam 4000 which is even heavier still.
I think if you want to get the Glidecam you can use it only for very brief running shots (1 or 2 minutes maximum before taking a break). The glidecam is probably very good if you buy the jacket steadicam system with it (about $1500 I think).

The DVRig Pro is great for what I want to do. Music and danse gigs where you're standing up and moving around looking for good shots all night with no interruption possible. It's also great for weddings for the same reason. The tradeoff is that the stabilization is not as good for walking or running shots but it's still much better than hand held shoots. You can leave your hands go and not feel any weight. And I'm talking about using it with the DVX100 so I can only imagine the relief it will be when using the much heavier HVX200. I'm going to get the Cineporter and am going to attach that to the back of the rig to use instead of the weights as a balance.

Barry has a great article on it on the site in the articles section
