DVRack & 720p

Super noob here so please forgive me.

Can someone give me the rundown of how to get DVrack to record 720p from the hvx200? I've had no problem getting 480 out of it but 720 just crashes the app.

Not possible. They'd have to update the program to support DVCPRO-HD, and that hasn't happened. Hopefully they will do so, but there's been no formal announcement yet.
 
I am actively talking with DVRack support about this. It just plain crashes with 720p. The support guy (Ryan), last night, did not tell me they had NO support for DVCPRO-HD. Either he did not know, or did not want to tell me. We spent 90 minutes troubleshooting video drivers, config files, etc... also, apparently there is a known issue with DVRack and live capture to an External Array (we use a 1.5TB SATA)... waiting for info on that too. When I get something back from them I'll post if for your review.
 
There is NO support for DVCPRO-HD yet. That's the way it is. It's DV rack, not DVCPRO-HD Rack.

There is absolutely no way, no how, that you're going to have any success with what you're trying to do. Trust me, I've been hassling them for about six months now to add DVCPRO-HD support.

DV Rack works with DV, and only with DV. It will NOT work with DVCPRO-HD in its current form.
