DVDSP Volume Control for Menu Template Audio

I searched the archives with DVDSP Volume and nothing I found answers my simple question.

1. How do you lower the audio volume of your main menu template music? It is way to loud compared to the rest of my footage, and it will cause the veiwer to scramble for their remotes when it returns to the main menu. Thanks in advance.

Edit the original file in something like Soundtrack Pro (normalize it to a lower setting that matches the rest of your footage, etc.).

There might be other methods.

The menu templates are at about the proper listening level. If your program is way quieter than those, you should look at remixing your project to standard broadcast audio levels.

Wait, so there's no simple way to lower the volume of the music that is playing on the template menu??? That's bizarre... I don't know what I'm doing in STP so I wouldn't know how to raise the volume of the whole sequence much less get it back in the sequence lined up. There has got to be some way of lowering the volume playing in the opening menu in DVDSP if iDVD can do it.

There isn't a simple or complex way of lowering a template audio track in DVD SP.

Okay, if I can't lower the menu volume is there a way to increase the volume of my entire completed Sequence in FCP? By say +5 decibel? My only question about that would be if my sequence had a quiet section already boosted up to +10, wouldn't it be tapped out at +12, and consquently be out of balance compared to how I have originally tried to balance the audio?
