DVD SP newb - can't find my error

Burned a couple HD-DVDs in the past no problem. Now however, when trying to make a SD DVD, this happens:

Export from FCP 6 to Compressor, and get the m2v and ac3 files OK. Import these to the bin in DVD SP and drag to the timeline, and this is the only thing in the timeline, then select burn. disk burns ok.

The disk will load in a DVD player, but all I get is a grey screen. Then if I hit "STOP", then PLAY, then the track will play OK. If I put the DVD in a computer, (both the Mac DVD player, and PowerDVD) all I get is the grey screen, and I can't STOP it and make it play. IOW, I want a single clip to start playing automatically when the disk is loaded, like it should.

I have searched all my preferences and settings and can't seem to find what I have set wrong. I haven't tried to do a menu or anything like that. This seems like such a simple thing, but I'm stumped. Any help appreciated.
 
you have setup the DVD to play automatically if you don't have any menus.

you can find this in the Disc Inspection panel. There are options to choose which track to play on launch.
 
You have to set the track as the "first play." Without it the menu will be the first play, but there won't be anything on it.

Delete the menu in the graphic view, and the set the track that contains th files as the first play
 
there wasn't a menu in the graphic view, that's what was confusing me. But, I did find the first play in the Inspector, and now works great.
