DVD playback- Some shots jittery?

(I got the feeling this is a common problem, so I searched, but found nothing. Sorry if it's right under my nose!)

I'm working on a feature length movie (estimated time is 100 minutes), and I've got about 60 minutes shot (with the DVX100A in 24pA) and edited so far. (I'm editing as I go, with Premiere Pro 1.5.) So I tried to make a few quick DVDs of some completed scenes (with Encore DVD 1.5). When they play, certain shots are jittery. Almost like they've been interlaced with the wrong field order or something.
I'm using a DVX100A in 24pA mode, editing with Premiere Pro 1.5 and authoring with Encore DVD 1.5

Any ideas? Might upgrading to Premiere Pro 2.0 help?
I've heard about using the Scene Detect feature during capturing, but I've never used it. Could this help? I've been Batch Capturing all my footage; could I recapture with Scene Detect on?
Thanks in advance!

I have had the same problems in FCP. Some have suggested that the Vertical Detail setting should be set to thick instead of thin...not sure if this helps or not. I am still testing.

I thought you were ALWAYS supposed to shoot thin if you were shooting 24pA. I swear I've read that several times here. But I could be wrong.
