DVD Palyer that wil play AVCHD files from SD cards?

Are there any Blu-ray DVD players that will directly play AVCHD files off of the SD cards recorded in the HMC150?

Thanks,
Tom

I have a LG 590 networked bluray that will read files off of my computer through the home network. It will play .MTS files directly from my hard drive. Not sure what it would do with a data disk that contains them, but i dont see why it wouldnt just play them. that machine has a USB slot and a hardrive in it also, so i imagine it would play those files from either of those sources. I do not know of any BD players with a SD slot.

Yes... pretty much any Panasonic Blu-Ray will do that. I have the DMP-BD30 which I bought when the HMC150 first came out, and it plays them fine. Anything released since then shouldn't have any issues. I can't speak about other manufacturers though. If nothing else, take a card full of footage to Best Buy or whatever your local electronics store is and ask to try them out.

My Sony BDP-S570 would be able to play them, though from a USB thumb drive, which is probably the more common connection you will see.

Yes, Panasonic BD player and Sony BD players like the BDP-S370 will be able to play the AVCHD footage.
