I burnt a DVD for the first time and was shocked to find that watching the DVD on my laptop was blurred but when I looked at the AVI samples they are ok...
I rendered to Mpeg2 in sony movie studio and then went to DVD achitect and they renered it when i clicked make dvd...is this where I am going wrong? can't i just put avi onto dvd...would be better :)

Unfortunately, the movie files on DVDs must be MPEG2 in order for the DVD to work. For that matter, you pretty much have to use DVD architect, because software like DVD Architect renders the files with the correct attributes and puts the files in the right folders. However, although I'm no expert, perhaps the resolution might be in question? One of the times you rendered it, most likely in Sony Movie Studio, the resolution was off, and this may be the cause of your problem.

Thanks Aroon, I might need help with that part but I'll have a crack at it this afternoon :)
