DVD arc and markers

I finished a project in Vegas 6 and rendered to Mpeg-2 while saving markers in the media.
What is the best way to bring it into DVD arc (single movie) so that the markers will allow you to skip to the next section of the video or back to previous?

I dropped it into a single movie template on the time line and that did not work.
I'm thinking I should drop the file onto the left window ( can't remember the exact name of the window) so that it shows the different sections of the video.

Or drop it on the timeline and click set markers?

You'll need to use the "Menu" template to allow navigation of your DVD.
Select that from the opening screen, then bring in your MPEG video and AC3 audio files. Check the manual for details on how to set up the main menu and chapter buttons. I'm still on version 1.0d, so anything newer probably offers a greater number of creative options.
