DVCProHD 720/60p in 30i NTSC Project

I have some DVCProHD footage shot at 720/60p that I need to get into a '30i NTSC' project. I would like the DVCProHD clip to play back overcranked in the 30i sequence and be slightly 'zoomed' (via pan&scan) so that the shot is not letterboxed compared to the rest of the sd/minidv footage. What is the best way to do this in AXP with as little rendering and/or transcoding as possible?

the way i am doing it now....

1. dump all my 720/60p footage into a sequence in a 720/60p project

2. use the pan&scan effect and motion effect (for slow motion) as needed

3. export sequence as DNxHD 75 720p/29.97

4. importing the rendered file into my 30i NTSC project

it seems like there should be a better and/or easier way?!?
