I read the threads on capturing to a laptop via firewire. It seemed that the experience was with DVCPROHD rather than DVCPRO50. Does anyone have any experience with a setup for recording directly to an external HD (like a g-raid) throgh FCP5?
We have a greenscreen shoot on Monday. Long shots. We can bring our G5 quad with 4GB ram and an external g-raid 500GB to record to. You all think this will work? We also have a g4 PB with FCP5 and 1GB Ram.
Thoughts please?
