I've got a HVX-200 and I'm going to buy Avid Express Pro, but I'm a bit confused about the support for DVCPRO HD. My camera is PAL so I'll be recording either DVCPRO HD 1080/25p or DVCPRO HD 720/25p. Although I was told by certain people that these formats were not supported, I was also informed that you could get round this problem by following this workflow:
-Select the project
-Specify the project as 1080/25p and also select DVCPRO HD
-Import the footage as usual through a P2 card in either 720 or 1080 format
-Complete the project as normal.
Is this true? =) Eagerly awaiting your reply, as I'm attempting to take advantage of the Christmas sales.
