dvcpro 1080 60i vs. 720 p final file size

Hi it is my understanding because I can record longer with 720 p that the file size when imported and converted to quick time would be smaller than if I shot in 1080 60i.
I ask this because recently, I took an HDcam tape of mine in (transferred at Rainmaker from 35mm film) to get transferred to DVCpro HD 1080 60i so that I could edit it on my own system (FCP). The first time they made a 720 p copy instead so I had to take it back it to get redone to my specs (dvcpro 1080 60i). Curiously when I brought my hard drive home with the new dvcpro1080 60i footage, the overall file size (approx. 20 min. of footage) was the same as the 720 copy they had mistakenly made earlier (22.6 G). I fully expected a larger file size as the data rate would be higher. Am I missing something here? Do you think that they simply uprezed the 720p version? or?
I'm confused....in a previous post at this site, David S. remarked
One hour of 720/24p over 60 = 21.43 GBytes

One hour of 1080i/24 = 41.16 GBytes
which of course I would expect. Given this, I would also expect the same difference to occur for my transfer from HDcam to dvcpro 1080 60i compared to 720p.:Drogar-Thinking(DBG

to complicate matters ,

to complicate matters ,

I don't understand this ... DVCPRO at 4 gb, vs. DVCPRO HD 1080i at 1 gb (?)

the Panasonic USA pressroom.pdf states:
For DVCPro it is 4 minutes per GB; in DVCPRO50 , it is 2 minutes per GB; in DVCPRO HD in is 1 minute per GB, and in DVCPRO HD 1080i it is 1 minute per GB....

I found out more but the lab still maintains 1 GB per minute...

the apple website maintains that DVCpro HD codecs are not each one GB per minute but in fact vary, depending on format between 5.8MBps to 14MBps - figure that matches my Panasonic HVX200 user manual. the link is below.
I was sent a VideoSpace widget by a friend, that when entered comes up with the following numbers:
DVCPRO HD 720p at 59.94 at 22: minutes footage = 17.92 GB
DVCPRO HD 1080 60i at 59.94 at 22 minutes footage= 35.61 GB
