Re: DVC60 is posted...

Has anyone tested this camera yet? Any footage posted anywhere yet?

I am curious to see what this camera can do with its smaller CCDs and it's lack of 24p or Cinegamma.

Re: DVC60 is posted...

Please don't tell me those are all plastic parts. It looks like a fisher price camera.

Re: DVC60 is posted...

That’s what I said when someone posted it a couple weeks ago. Looks like they took a DVC30, stripped it, stuck a DVX handle on it, then put it in the mounting of a DVC7. A Frankenstein’s monster of a cam.

Must be from the same Panasonic design team that designed this---;D

Re: DVC60 is posted...

DVC60 has 1/4" CCD's, but the specs for both DVC60 & DVX100A say exactly the same:
"Picture Elements: Total: 410,000 pixels Effective: 380,000 pixels (horizontal pixel shift system)"
I don't understand.

And by the way, it's not "plastic", it's carbon fiber - there's a big difference.

I also see that it has a much longer lens.

Re: DVC60 is posted...

The pixels in the DVC60/30 chips are smaller (and therefore aren't as sensitive to light).
