Alright.. basically I was filming a project and out of no where, the camera died. Took it in for repairs, it cost me $458.. apparently the "CBA" died, from the fact that I was using Sony Tapes and the lube on the tapes caused overheating in the camera.. (to bad panasonic never warned me of that).
I go to shoot some stuff the same day I get it back.. I come home and I can not get a signal from the A/V In-Out.
..posisbly the repair shop screwed up the camera?
I feel so ripped off.

Something similar happened to me with a 953. I suspect it has to do with putting things back together too quickly. I'd contact them ASAP to tell them of the problem. They should fix it with no protest if it was not working when you got it back--especially if that feature was working before the camera died.

The only problem is they will probably give you no loaners, and you'll be without a camera for another couple weeks. You could ask, though.

I feel for you, bro.

the funny thing is that this happens all the time regardless of the item or business field.
You bring a car for repairing a headlight and you end up with a broken fuse box. stuff like that happens all the time...
My strategy is to be very kind with these people, making them politely acknowledge the damage is their fault and get it fixed quickly with a smile, rather than getting mad and using physical violence (which they would deserve though :))

Andrea

Andrea, you are right. Flies are attracted to honey more than vinegar. . . er, . . . you catch more vinegar than flies, . . . argh. nevermind. I never get my way anyway.

well, heres an update..brought it in.. apparently its unrelated, so it's in there having either a cheap little board replaced, or an expensive new VTR board.. hope its the cheap svideo board that connects to the vtr board..
this is getting rediculous :(
