DVC30 Head cleaning

I picked up a used DVC30 and want to switch tape brands from Panny to Sony to match what I currently use. Inspecting the tape transports I noticed black dust at the bottom of the compartment which I think are from the Panny dry lub on there tapes. I can only imagine where else the black dropping remain. I don't dare try cleaning myself fearing that I'd just spread the dust to other places. Does anyone have a good suggestion as to where I can get this serviced and cleaned out? I live in the NY/NJ area.
