K Kholi Section Moderator Jan 28, 2006 #1 What exactly is DV100 and is it similar to DVCpro50? Can you captured DV100 from the HVX in any fashion? Would it be better for DVD productions? I know you're supposed to be able to do it with the XLH1, according to Barlow. Just need to know more about it.

Elton Veteran Jan 29, 2006 #3 Kholi, It's just shorthand for full 100megabit (QT says it's 117mbs, actually) DVCPROHD. It's really 4 DV codecs in parallel, as I understand it, so DV100 is pretty accurate I think. Those 24p extractions from the H1/DV100 SDI transfer are actually 93mbs DVCPROHD files.
