When I try to use DV Control EXT setting to trigger the record function in DV Rack with either of my DVX100As all I get is the message DV Disconnect. This setting is supposed to work to trigger external recording devices without a tape in the camera. If I do put a tape in the camera and set the DV Control setting to Both or Chain, then the camera record button will work with DV Rack, but also defeats the purpose of saving wear and tear on the camera heads. I tried both cameras, with different firewire cables and on two different computers. Same results.
