DV Rack 2.0 HD troubles.

Hello I am experimenting with recording HD on DV Rack 2.0 and I am a little confused. I have tried AVI Type 1 and 2 and also Quicktime but all of those are unwatchable for me in Windows. I tried with VLC, Windows Media Player, and Quicktime and none of those would play any of the files I recorded.

I then also tried converting some of the original files ejected from DV Rack with the DVCPRO HD software. These converted files were also unwatchable.

Now I was able to open them up in OSX if they were Quicktimes. However the footage I had recorded had a TV playing in it and sounded noticeably slowed down. The video itself looked sluggish and not like it should have too.

Am I missing something here? Or is my Macbook Pro not powerful enough to handle the HD? I was under the impression it could as I know that a lot of people use MBP's to record with.

Thanks for the help.

By default there is no DVCProHD codec on the PC. You must install the DVCProHD Batch Converter (which is bundled with DV Rack 2.0 HD) to get a decode-only version of DVCProHD -- if you do that, the video will play in Windows Media Player.

I tried an HV20 with OnLocation (the Adobe release of DVRack) and it only showed a feed in DV mode, not HDV or 24p mode. What gives? Need a driver as well?

Alright I do have the DVCProHD batch converter installed and even the files I export from there will not play in Windows for me.

I also do not have any P2 cards, I am strictly using DV Rack to record my HD.

I think my problem is basically that the files I am able to view in OSX are sluggish and not running at normal speed.
