DV or HDV for CS5 and my GH2?

The GH2 will be my first DSLR, ever. I've only ever edited from mini-dv tapes up to this point. So, my question: How to I set up a sequence for AVCHD 24p in Premiere CS5? When I click New Project it gives me either DV or HDV for the Capture format. Do I just leave it on DV and then on the next New Sequence screen that pops up choose AVCHD/1080p/ANCH 1080p24, or, do I start with Capture set to HDV and then follow said sequence? Thanks.

Ok, I just saw that under New Sequence there is also Digital SLR as a choice. Perhaps I should take that route instead of the AVCHD route? Still, do I start New Project with it set to Capture DV or Capture HDV?

For AVCHD editing, it doesn't matter which one you choose. That's just for people importing either Mini DV or HDV files through fire-wire.

I do see how it can confuse people.

Thank you for that answer. Should I choose Digital SLR for the New Sequence do you think?

Either DSLR or AVCHD is fine.

You can also drag a file into the new comp buttin and Premiere will create a new comp witht he exact settings to match your footage.

Ok, now that's pretty cool. Didn't know that trick. I like it. So, just create a new DV Project, and New Sequence set to whatever, and then take a clip from the Bin area, drag it to the Comp button on the bottom of the Bin window and bang/zango it sets of the appropriate Sequence for me? Cool. Thanks, Futchibon and others.

I know the dream is 1080 60p from the senor for smooth slo-mo in a 1080 24p timeline but I can't help but wonder if there will be someone who figures out a way to use the interlace 1080 60i footage in at 24p timeline and somehow makes it look nearly as smooth as the much wanted 1080 60p. Newbie here so I'm guessing no one wants that 1080 60i footage for slo-mo in a 24p project is because of the interlacing. Right? Just wondering how bad it really would look all things considered.
