DV capture help

So i got a used dvx100a.
I'm also running a Mac Pro...
I don't know which wire i can use to capture my DV onto computer..
Is there a firewire wire that i can purchase?
Is it worth the money investing on a capture station?

me too I just bought a fire wire and it doesnt capture

Firewire, 1394. Try it right into iMovie. Make sure you read your camera's manual onhow to get the camera into VTR mode so it outputs the video/audio to the computer. This is VERY IMPORTANT.

Thanks, I will try...I think I've tried everything but tommorrow I will read that manual if it's any different to my 102 manual either that or take my DV pcmi back.

Its ok now...I just got another cable exactly the same pins and it worked...defo taking that cable back for a refund
