DV caddie dolly

What Leo said. I bought one a couple of months ago. It's a nice little tool, not perfect but is capable of some pretty nice moves with smaller, lighter cameras.

Lot of bang for the buck, I used it on a shoot for Fox in December, I was working alone and still managed a few nice dolly shots. I still want a slider though.

Best,

Dan

while money is a factor for us all, and you get what you pay for.... i came across this site in other threads within DVX. My eyes have been on this product for some time now. Promo video is on the front page.

Yes, I saw this site a few months back. Their product looks very nice and the prices are pretty cheap. The DV Caddie is more a tabletop dolly, the Eazy is more of a traditional rideable dolly for live action.

I agree, you usually get what you pay for with dollies.

Looks alright, I'd suggest building your own. 8 skateboard wheels diagonally spinning on PVC. I'll post a pic of mine when I get a chance.

Edit: Heres a bad iPhone photo of my DIY dolly:

I haven't built anything on top for a fluid head on top yet because.. well, I haven't been able to afford a fluid head yet haha. But so far I've just had the camera flat and screwed from the bottom.

Here is a quick test I did with it: http://vimeo.com/2736153
