filmed some motorX yesterday it was really dusty. Saw some specks of dust..thought the lens or uv filter needed cleaning. cleaned them thoroughly only to see that is BEHIND the lens. I dont even know how it got there...well i mean i thought it coudnt reach there. Apparently i was wrong. duno how to get rid of it.

Strange indeed. Thought this thing was airtight. The good thing is that it can only be seen if ur really straining to see, and if I'm aimed at the blue sky. But since I know its there...my eye goes there.

I'm in jamaica, and to send it away to the US and be out of a cam for weeks is gonna be hard (I make a living from it).
Anybody knows how much something like that would cost? I think I'll continue using it till I take a trip to the US later this year. If grovechuck is seeing this...maybe u can see what that wud cost for me...since ur in the area I'd be going.

ok some good news. so i was inspecting this problem even closer...and what i noticed is that the LCD was not showing the specs...but the viewfinder was. So i plugged in the camera to the tv...and it didnt show up on there either. So i figured its in the viewfinder. Opened that up and used the blower...but it won't budge. The maunal says only to use the blower and not wipe the inside of the viewfinder cuz of some special coating. so after blowing like crazy...i left it. At least its not goin to end up on the footage. So i'm glad for that.

anybody ever use their cleaning brush in the VF?

Glad its cool Darren, I've done a heap of Moto x stuff and have had my DVX drowning in dust,,, it won't get it behind the lens, but in your case the EVF? Thats still weird.

Yeh pretty wierd. I gues if things aren't airtight it'l get in there...that dust really kicked up and I was pretty close. I'll try cleaning again today. Happy its not the lens though...cuz the cost of that I'm sure wud hav been a pretty penny after shipping.
