Dust inside the AG-LA7200 Anamorphic Lens Adapter

Has anyone taken this anamorphic adapter apart and cleaned it. Is it easy.

Just bought a used one, and it is in fine condition but has dust in between the lens elements. I can return it and buy a new one, but if it is easy to take apart and clean it, this one would be as good as new.

It seems easy, any comments and experience would be great.

That is a good question. I have had mine for a while, and I've noticed some dust building up inside as well. It was definitely an expensive lens, and I wouldn't have thought dust would build up so easily.

So I know it's been a few years since this post... But I'm still wondering if anybody has had this problem, and what they did about it? This lens cost around $700 and I'd like to be able to get the dust out from between the lens elements if possible... Otherwise, I may just end up selling it.

Hello, just curious if you fixed the dust problem? If not, is the lens for sell? Have been looking for one for my 100b, but geez..$850? Seems alot just for a lens. Can't seem to find a good used one anywhere. Thanks in advance!

It is a very easy operation to open the lens from the rear part. Just some screws holding the pieces together.
However the lens is far from being dust sealed and collects dust internally very easily.

so have you tried cleaning it Steverino? I'm having the same problem and I can't find any video or guide of cleaning it. It's a surprise since there are so many people using it. I love the lens, and I feel it's very delicate and I don't want to fxxk it up. Any experience user out there care to share detail insight of cleaning it?
