I know a guy that decided to open up the front end of the camera to clean the inside of the lens. He said it wasn't that hard. He would probably recommend working in an extremely clean place and wearing gloves and a little surgical mask. And work very slowly...and carefully.
Don't sneeze.
Don't twitch.
Don't think about the thousands of dollars it will cost if you mess up.
i have a UV filter on my camera 24/7 to prevent getting muck and scratches on the original lens, would this prevent getting dust inside? it would have to get inside the UV then past the original lens, double defence!! ahha
Ahh, but you are assuming the dust came in through the front of the lens. There is at least a decent chance that the dust entered through the focus or zoom mechanism internally.
ahhhhh ok. yes your correct about what i was assuming, i never realised dust could get in that way. spose theres not much you can do about preventing it then
