The execution of the action sequences weren't so polished but not bad and the intent was there. Like the best of B-grade films with the slight misframings etc. In some ways I prefer that to hollywood slick. The running man at the start was good, I really got the sense of desperation from his performance as he frantically searched for an escape route. I didn't like the footstep sound effects in the sequence though, there was something off about them that didn't fit. I can't quite put my finger on it.
I really enjoyed the design of the editing through the cat and mouse sequence in the house. It's a small issue but if the gun had been a little larger it would have worked better. At first I wasn't sure about the twist ending but I really liked the final scene where they are facing each other. Overall, I thought you made excellent use of the location.
The music was appropriate and the sound design not too bad as far as I can tell on my laptop speakers. Better than average anyway. Even if the execution wasn't always there I thought there was real creativity and effort going into your shot selection and framing, you made an effort to tell a story visually and that can only pay dividends with practice.
Thanks for the comments.
@Egg Born Son : Thanks a lot for mentioning the points, definitely helpful. Will definitely try to execute things better the next time.
