Once I found out the procedure I've never had problems since. I've used it from the begining on several Macbook Pro's ranging from OS 10.4.8-10.5.5. The only Issue I've witnessed since I knew the procedure was a clients Duel Adapter fried on set once. We chalked it up to some kind of power surge or lack of power. At the time it fried the MacBook Pro was running on battery power and it was also powering 2 Lacie Little Big Disks and the Duel Adapter, so the computer was powering a total of 5 HDD's at the same time as the Duel Adapter.

Procedure:
1. Start MackBook Pro
2. After boot up plug in Duel Adapter (DO NOT push in so far the the springloaded Express port pushes it out again, other wise you must restart)
3. Insert P2 card
4. Eject P2 card when done.
5. Once ejected, wait 5-10 seconds before actually removing the P2 card.

If the Duel Adapter is removed at any time you must restart. Also the Duel Adapter must be removed before shuting down.

If you live by these rules you'll never have problems.

I use a Dell XP laptop and DA for field P2 card dumps to an external USB hdd. WP the card, double check the footage with P2 Viewer before reformatting; has been a good and reliable workflow for me. Back home, the USB drive plugs into the Mac Pro for transfer.
