Duel adapter on Mac Pro?

If you have a MBP, you can use the Duel adapter with drivers to plug your P2 cards into the machine and offload/edit/vew/whatever.

I want to do the same, but on my new Mac pro. I figured that a PCMCIA card reader with PCI express would be easy to find... no luck.

What do you recommend? I have seen DIY for the P2 on the G4, but that is for PCI only.

(and no, the AJ-DC20 or what it is called, is not an option, neithers is hooking up the HPX500 over FireWire - waaaay to slow in offloading.)

Yes, a PCMCIA with PCIe works great on a PC, but Macs new OS axed the PCMCIA drivers. I just off load from the camera, or you can use a laptop with PCMCIA to express adapter, works great. Or, find a cheap PC laptop and use MacDrive and download to an external HD, which then can be edited right away. Or, just edit with GrassVally Edius and all of your problems are gone. Best PC based editor I've used. 30% faster the FCP and no rendering.
