Duclos rehoused Nikon 70-200

Price I heard was $10k, which for one of the sharpest zooms made out there and with the mods Matt at Duclos is making to it, is a bargain.

Didn't their stock get wiped out recently when their shop was broken into? No idea if any of it was ever recovered.

Oh no, that's terrible. I sent my lenses to them for cine-modden just a few months ago. They are fantastic. I hope they have good insurance.

I had my lenses there at the time the robbery hit, and I asked -- he assured me that NO CLIENT LENSES were involved. All the client lenses were kept in a separate safe area and none were stolen, so yours are certainly fine. Mostly what got stolen were a whole batch of the 11-16's.
 
I got my lenses back soon after I sent them in (they work fast). I just meant that they do great work and it is terrible news they got broken into. :-(
 
The break-in at Duclos is old, old news (in a good way), and nothing to worry about at this point; you'll see the date of the break-in post was July 7, but by the end of July they were able to fulfill my order for an 11-16mm Duclos wide (which is what they were "wiped out" of). They were also able to turn around two mod orders of mine very quickly in recent weeks.

So they were back on their feet, business-wise, very quickly. Kudos to them.

I would imagine they're full speed ahead again with the 70-200mm project.
