F55: "Duclos Lenses Sony FZ mount kit for Fujinon’s new MK zooms"

Fuji should send Matt a nice Christmas present. That just opened those lenses up to a lot more people. And the back focus adjustability is still there. It wasn't mentioned specifically in the linked article, but should we presume that the "Macro" function was maintained, too?(the button is still there in the pics). I believe he said early on, that if they were able to convert it, it may lose macro ability.

The only issue is will Sony keep the FZ mount around for the next generation of those cameras.

My .02, it's the best "universally" adaptable mount out there for serious work and my understanding is Sony purposefully designed it to be a "universal" lens mount/adapter base. It's big, strong, shallow, provides power and communication contacts AND requires zero tools to swap mounts. They'd be crazy to not continue forward with it.

The past E mount cameras couldn't hold up next to a FZ mount when compared.

But the new locking E mount on the FS7 mk2 could be a serious competitor, and might maybe mean the end of FZ mount. (I hope not however, as I have lots of FZ adapters!)
