Just got the Duclos 11-16mm T2.8 for the F5 today! Will do some tests this week and get back to you guys! I put in on the camera for a few min today. First thoughts very durable and well made. This lens is really a Tokina lens that they adapted with a PL mount and cine gears as well as made the aperture ring manual.

The 11-16 is rehoused too. If you ever get up to the Duclos Lens shop there's a glass display in the lobby with different prototypes displayed. It's amazing how many variations went to developing the PL version.

Out of interest, when did you put your name down for one Ryan? I did over a year ago, and have never received the 'yours is ready' message.

I used the 11-16 f2.8 non-modded Tokina recently on the F55 and it's great glass. Can't see the benefit of $3500 price for duclos version, not like there is a lot of focus to pull on wide shots, etc.. but I admit it sure looks sweet.

Waited on the list for 6-ish months. Lovely lens. The iris and zoom rings are reversed, but the focus ring is correct.

I don't have any footage to show, but it pairs well with the F55.

It's worth it when shooting with other good PL glass because you don't have to swap the adapter in and out. That can be time consuming at times. Also the PL version has a real aperture ring.

But if you're shooting all Nikon with a ProLock, of course stick with the regular version but have a gear ring added.

Just got a Nikon ProLock today and it great to have an adapter that doesn't automatically unmount you lenses when close focusing.

I'm sure the Dulcos is great, but if you'd like to turn all your lenses into identical cine-like focus lenses, just get a BDF and M-one. They're a bit pricy, but you pay it only once, not for each new, cine or still, lens you buy.

Cheers.
