Dubbing from Betacam

What is the best way for dubbing from a Betacam deck to the HVX200? rogar-Shock(DBG):

I can't help but ask why you would want to do this. Why not just capture the Beta video into your NLE via the Beta deck?

thee best way is to hire a Sony J-30 betacam player that has a firewire output

that's what i do

make sure it's a j-30 and not a j-3 (no firewire)
it will play betacamSP, BetacamSX and DigitalBetacam (digiBeta)

The problem I have is that I must to go to an office goverment that use betacam, and the only way I have is to connect my camera to the vtr...or fill a beta tape and then make the transfer to dv or dvcpro50 in other place....In any case I will be very happy with dv 'cause is a historic material.....So i will formulate my question in other way.........

Has all betacam vtr's S-Video output?

Our Beta decks have S-Video in/out. I don't think all of them do though. Make sure you check.
