Dual screen: no video on secondary

i swapped my old Matrox G550 for a R9600Pro grfx card.
now i have no videopreview on the secondary monitor anymore. even windows mediaplayer will not play in that monitor but stay black all the time. only primary (=left) screen works. stills, photoshop etc work fine on extended desktop.

is this a driver issue? the card defect? a limitation by ATI driven cards (matrox can play video on both screens)? or is it a setting i need to adjust somewhere, but didn´t find yet?

can someone help me?

Driver is OK.
Go to Display Properties/Settings/Advanced/Overlay/Clone mode options and check Theater Mode. If grayed out then play some video at same time (click Overlay option only when video is paused).

that worked. at least i can now watch with the media player on both screens.

but still in liquid edition the right screen does not display videos. only the first frame (in the source viewer and masterviewer).
weird. looks like i have to flip my editing-habits from right to left.

or has anyone a dualscreen setup with edition working on an ATI card where the right screen shows video as well?
