Hi,
I've blown through two of these units.. they just die. I suspect that
they can't be hot-swapped.
Duel refuses to replace them. I'm not happy with these units.

Don't know anyone who is actually happy with them. Something I do is take a spare laptop-bag shoulder-strap pad and put the Duel Adapter in it as protection when I stuff it in the laptopbag. I've lost one to over-use, but this has kept mine alive for almost 8 months.

That's interesting .. but perhaps a testament to how fragile these
guys are .. maybe I'll get an anvil case for mine ... and yea . i had
to order another one ... $118 down the drain :=(

If you're on a Windows system, look at the Addonics adapter instead. It's half the price and seems like it might be a more rugged design.

Doesn't work on MacOS though, so if on a Mac the Duel is the only option.

hi

sorry to bother, but i just bought a duel adapter for my p2 cards but i cant download the raw files. I tested ir before i bought it and it worked fine.

i instaled the driver (duel adapter) and when i try to instal de p2 drive, so the duel adapter can read the p2 cards, nothing happen.

i double checked the cards and the Duel adapter, but it works, because when i plug it, the laptop catch the adapter but no luck with the card,

any toughts??.

thanks everyone in advance.

Until our camera kit was stolen recently. I had been using the same adapter for over 2 years. Aside from occasionally coming unplugged and having to reboot the machine I never had any complaints. I always kept mine in a rolling computer bag.

my 2 cents

Al
