Dual Lens Follow Focus?

Hey all,

This might seem like a stupid question, but I don't know a ton about anamorphic lenses yet. What I do know is that you need to focus the lens and your camera's lens at the same time. Would it be possible to put them both in focus on a subject then use a follow focus that controls two lenses (if they exist; I suppose you could link the two rings together to do it on a regular follow focus) to focus both lenses at the same time? The only thing is that I don't know if the two lenses have to be focused different amounts. If that's the case then I guess this wouldn't work. Thoughts?

I'm not sure your assumption is correct.

I have an anamorphic lens attached to a camcorder. I don't adjust focus on the anamorphic at all. By changing the camcorder's focus, it adjusts focus. That said, the anamorphic changes the characteristics of focusing and makes it more difficult, and limits the range of distances.

You're going to have to test whatever equipment you buy to see its limitations.
