Dual Adapter Alternative?

I am on my third dual adapter!!! This has not been a reliable product for me.

Are there any other solutions for me to get my footage into my MAcbook!!

Kinda sick of this!!!!!
 
Other then buying a P2 Deck or a laptop with a pcmcia slot, there aren't really any other options for your MacBook Pro.
 
You mean your MacBook Pro.

There's FW Connect and USB connect. Lately I've been using USB connect and it works well, just slower.
 
hey mLAne (and others with this problem), are you on tiger or leopard? i'm on tiger and so far, no problems. but i baby that thing big time. i keep it in the original packing when i'm not using it, and didn't even bend it at all.

i'm crossing my fingers it keeps working, cause all these posts are scaring me.
 
I'm using Leopard, and it's been working fine...(after learning it's quirks)

Until yesterday! Right in the MIDDLE of changing out my cards for offloading to
edit (to FC), the adapter stopped being recognized my my macbook pro. The first
card transferred fine, but the second one - no way! After hours of attempting to
re-boot, refresh...nothing. Thankfully I have some down time because I can just
use the camera itself to transfer, but if I'd been in the field and pressed for time
I'd have been screwed - ROYALLY!

If you've got this thing, I'd say to keep your eye on it if it's working ok for you...
but be prepared for it to crap out at the exact moment you need it most.

I sure hope there's a reasonable replacement on the nearby horizon.
