dsr-11 frustration

my g5, dsr-ll and sony triniton monitor pvm-14L2 hookup has been working fine the last 5 months - till this afternoon, when suddenly i do not get a picture on my monitor from either the fcp hd timeline or viewer.

yet when i play a tape from the sony dsr, i do get the picture and sound on my monitor.

HEP. any thoughts, suggestions or settings, or what might have gone wrong?

again, i know the hookup is ok, as it's been fine and dandy for several months.

Try a few basic diagnostic steps such as try to print back to tape, or try using your camcorder instead of the DSR-11 to hook up to your monitor.
 
Sounds like a software issue.

verify & repair your hard drives then trash your FCPHD prefs folder. (make a backup and save elsewhere)

Try to relaunch when the prefs are trashed.
