DSLR with EX1 Fujinon lens - is it possible?

The Fujinon lens on my old EX1 had a great focal length range, equivalent to 31.4 mm - 439 mm on 35 mm lens, and fixed f/1.9 aperture. Not expensive either - has to be under 6K since that's what a new EX1R retails for. My question: is it possible to mount this lens to a DSLR? If so, wouldn't that be the best combo ever???

2/3 lenses only comver a fraction of the DSLR area

28-200 has the best range

lenses like the 24-105 or 24-70 have the best range while keepipng a reasonable aperture

a 28-400 F1.9 that covered a FF35chip would be the size of a dustbin and cost more than 4 Reds

Yeah, the reason they can have a fast aperture and wide focal length is specifically because they only cover a very small frame. Lenses that cover the full still or cinema frame are dramatically more expensive.

And that EX1 lens didn't have a fixed 1.9 aperture, it was 1.9 only at the wide end. It ramps to 2.8 at the telephoto end. It just doesn't tell you it's doing it, but it is.
