DSLR Shoulder Rig Advice (Letus or Redrock?)

What price range are you talking about? Arri equipment is far more expensive than Redrock's. It's also higher quality.

I was referring to the Zacuto price range. Which Arri may still be a little more, but at that point, you might as well go with the better product.

I think this pretty much settles it for me. The Letus seems like a nice blend of quality and price.. It's somewhat in the middle of the other rigs and they have a great reputation for support. Letus K5 Shoulder here I come.

well since your going that route you will need a handle. I just got this Easom Optics handle for my CPM rig. I Love it. It was between that and the redrock...but the redrock was a bit pricey. The Easom optics is also all metal with rubber grip (like redrock) and sturdy ( up to 20lbs) and also has 2 1/4 20 threaded holes in it.

Id have several Redrock rigs and LOVE the build quality, solidness, look and versatility, even over the Zacuto stuff I have played with. Plus their company has been a charm to deal with. So IMO if you can afford it, go RRM, you wont be disappointed.

I'm going to have to throw my 2cents in and say Redrock Field Cinema. The entire Redrock system is intellegently designed and can be adjusted for your needs. I don't feel the price is inflated for no reason as the Zacuto is. My first choice in HDSLR support is redrock micro, and I've tested most all of the brands. It's just the best thought out and build system. The only issue you may have is that the field cinema is designed for use of a monitor for focus.
