DSLR Sensor Ratings

How interesting is that!! A camera that costs a 1/3 of the price of the Canon 5DM2 has incredibly similar performance :)

Makes me even more glad I got my D90. Do the comparison between the similarly priced Canon EOS 50D and see how the D90 just blows it out of the water in everything!!!

have a look at the performance of the D700, can't wait for a HD D800. The panasonic lumix G1 didn't score very well, it will be interesting to see how the GH1 scores.

'similar performance' on paper, not in reality....

i don't understand why ppl try to justify their d90 purchase, i mean don't the videos speak for themselves. the 5D in fact BLOWS the d90 out of water not vice versa. if given the chance to trade my d90 for a 5d m2 i'd do so in a heartbeat, i'd be hard pressed to believe you wouldn't if given the chance
 
Sure Bronxjragon, I think you misinterpreted my opinion, I didn't say the D90 blows the 5DMK2 out of the water but the slightly more expensive Canon 50D ;)

The reality is that comparing the 5D to the D90 is like comparing the HMC150 to the EX1. The 5Dm2 body is like 3 times the price!! I think in terms of value for money or bang for buck among semi-pro vDSLRs the D90 is still KING!!

Personally I would have never bought the 5Dm2 because I don't fancy replacing the half a dozen Nikon glass I already own ;)

I appreciate your feedback though and I'm happy to say that the D90 will do nicely until the D400 comes out :D

oooo yeah im mistaken then, its just that most ppl try to justify their d90 vs 5d mark deuce. bang for teh buck, yeah d90 is a good bargain, filming recently though the overheating sensor is turning out to be a huge problem
