DSLR Feature Film List

Thanks Jawa! Really creepy trailer for MARIANNE too. Seeing some great footage in this thread. Good to know that there is a film industry in Sweden. My sister lived in Sweden for a couple of years and loved it, so I might follow in her footsteps for a couple years.

Thanks!

Well there is and there isn't. The only way to get funded from the swedish film institute unless you're one of the handfull of large production companies that qualify, is as an Independent Producer.
For that you need to have documented experience in your company to have produced feature films for three years before you get money to produce feature films.

So that's how the film industry is here.

Hi there, I wondered if you could my feature to the list? It's an indie drama/thriller called 'LOW', there's a trailer and website here:

Its all shot on the Canon 7D.. feedback welcome! Many thanks :)

Hi, I found this thread linked from Cinema 5D and thought I would post. I was DP for two features shot entirely on the Canon 5D Mark II.

First film:

Sybil Ludington

Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/sybilludingtonmovie
IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1645934/
Distributed by: http://www.gobmg.com

We shot Sybil Ludington in May 2009. Sybil was the first feature film shot with a DSLR. The 5D had only been out several months and did not have manual video controls yet. We used old Nikon AI mount primes and cell phones and flash lights to properly set exposure. We entered Sybil into the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival where it was chosen as a finalist. This led to a distribution offer by Bridgestone Multimedia Group and now Sybil Ludington can be found at Christian retail outlets around the country.

Second film:

New

Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/themovienew
Distributed by: N/A (Still in Post Production)

We shot New in June 2010. Many of the scenes in New took advantage of using two 5D Mark II's. Shooting was much easier with manual video controls. We used both Nikon AI Primes and Canon EF Primes for this film. It is currently in post production, but a teaser trailer can be seen at the website.

Thanks a bunch!!!
