The cage looks very cool. Does the quick release sit on a tripod mount? It looks like it from the picture, but I wanted to be sure.

the quick release adapter is mounted to the flat base of the cage by a 1/4 20 bolt. On the underside of the base is 3 1/4 20 threaded holes for your tripod or shoulder mount.

I'm very tempted, but I'm shooting with the Nikon D7000 and without a flipout LCD, the back plate/bar of your cage would obstruct not only the LCD, but the viewfinder as well.
