Ok Im gonna rip my hair out haha

I cant seem to find these Vantage Blue Vision Anamorphic 4x4 filters anywhere to buy in the UK or The US...anyone got any ideas or a product that does a good similar job?

Im kinda getting tired of the wire trick and I hate doing this in post. Im def the get it right first hand kinda guy rather then...ooh i'll just use after effects of FCP plug ins, nothing wrong with it but id rather mess around with lights and filters.

watch a great clip here about the product that tells you nothing on their site or video haha

Well either way, the Blue Vision is not going to be cheap. You're almost better off getting an anamorphic adapter like the Panasonic AG-LA7200.

Streak filters are your most inexpensive option, but they aren't really an anamorphic flare. Honestly, I think the most realistic look is doing it in post...unless you spend a few $100k on real anamorphic lenses.

Yeah i've been trying to hunt down some Kowa anamorpic lenses but no finds yet...no way can I afford Panavision's haha

for cheating it any ideas on good plug-ins...Knoll Light Factory?, FX Factory? Optical Flares?
