Drumming up business.......

So, the new website is up, Facebook (Indie Arms) page created, Twitter (@IndieArms) page thing also going....

Need to get the marketing thing really in high gear for the company. Any ideas? Google AdWords is in the works.

I've been getting several jobs each year by monitoring Craigslist TV/Radio and Crew sections for posts. 90% of the posts are looking for something for nothing and don't even deserve a reply, but watch for the other 10%, you could snag a good gig if you reply quickly and have a good reel. Out of town producers sometimes use CL to find shooters/editors.

Oh, CL is a favorite spot of mine.

But I am thinking about pro-active marketing. How can I reach film-makers in the Southern California area.

Yeah, but how many of them can say they have Humvees, APC's and Tanks at the ready, or the latest .50 Cal (which no other prop weapon company can say they have? Even ISS cannot say that right now). You want the optical tracing Package.......done. Contact me.

to mount on top of the Humvee. Yeah, I will blow the others away. You want a mini-gun, I got it. How about helo's? I know who to talk to. Blackhawks, CH46, UH1N's No prob. You want to film at Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar, let me front you and assist your production. How about Ft. Irwin or Camp Pendleton? I have the access, if you have the will.

 My goal is to be the best capable, and most outfitted independent Armorer in Southern California and beyond. That aspect is not new to some of you, I have declared that before this. I have over 200 weapons, a complete and highly trained and experienced acting crew that can step in on any film for SWAT or SO Military, Script Advising, stunts, .........

I intend to own the Indie Weapons market and do so Independent Films can afford our services.

I told everyone long time ago.....I will become the "go-to guy" for action films in Southern California. And now I have those contacts, including the US Military, I am getting there. How many Indie Armorers can honestly say that? And work with the low budget I can boast?

Hey Doc!

Nice website and a great service to offer to indie and other productions! I tracked your site down on Twitter and set up a follow so I can help you spread the word.

I suspect by now you've found my thread "How to get in the business and stay in the business" in this same sub-forum; if not dive in.

Also, I'm a Glock and AR armorer with a tactical operations training and competition background so I definitely understand the special challenges your business will face in our business of film and television.

Let me know how I can help you spread the word.

All the best!

Robert
