DRS does not work in 24p?

Why on earth can't DRS (Dynamic Range Stretch) work in 24p? It works in 1080i60 and 720p60, but not in the lower frame rates! Bummer! It's kind of an interesting feature that has been rendered completely useless. Unless there's a work around?

I hope they correct this in a future firmware update. Is it the same with the HVX170 and HVX200?
 
There has been prior discussion about this issue with DRS within the HMC150 thread. The DRS function is limited to the higher frame rates because the function is dependent on the faster refresh rates.

The DRS function is certainly not "useless." Shoot in 60p with DRS and interpret the 60p footage to 24p footage in post.
