dropped frames

i imported my P2 files into final cut, and it converted them into Quicktime files which I have edited in Final Cut Pro 5.0.4.

When I export the file there are dropped frames between many of the cuts.

Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone know how to resolve it?

Thanks,
Aaron

Faster processor, more memory on the desk top or faster/more reliable hard drive. The frames should be all there from the camera, so your computer is dropping the frames, so what is going on there. I know my laptop will drop frames on 1080i footage in playplay, but that is okay for what I am trying to do with it. But your system is the culprit here.

Hope that helps,

Jan

thanks for the reply Jan.
i could understand dropped frames on playback, but not on output. the actual quicktime itself has black frames in it. i can go back and scrub to them, so they are definitly in the outputted file.

any thoughts now?
