hi guys,

I'm gettin the willies.
Ever since getting a DVX, I have had the worst case of dropouts ever, with any camera. From the first tape to the 10th. All MQ tapes.

The REC CHECK button I assumed, would end my woes. But it just gave me venetian blind style dropouts between clips.

Anyone else have this?

Thanks,
A

I have never had a dropout ever with the DVX, did you happen to pour a cup of sand into it? nah seriously it shouldn’t be happening... do they drop out when you capture them to the computer? if so its the computer with the problem!
Hope you can fix it soon, that would be a nightmare if it happend to me!

The only time I've had dropouts is when I've had the audio preview turned on, and that only because I have two sound cards. Poor li'l computer just couldn't keep up.

did u mix MQ with another brand once? Sony and Pana don´t match good.

i have a VX1000 and it ONCE had a Panatape in after 5 years and since then it is unreliable.

make sure you get the videoheads cleaned really good. then pray it stays clean.
